What Could Change in Your Life in the Next 10 Weeks?

I’ve been thinking a lot about ten weeks lately.

Probably because I’ve spent the past several months creating a new program that lasts exactly that long. But the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realized that ten weeks is actually a pretty interesting amount of time.

It’s not a year. It’s not even six months. It doesn’t feel so far into the future that you can’t really picture it.

Ten weeks is close enough to see.

And yet, when I think back over different ten-week stretches of my own life, I realize how much can actually happen in that amount of time.

Not necessarily because something dramatic happens on the outside, but because when we intentionally give our attention to something for a sustained period of time, we begin to change.

Most of the Time, the Weeks Just Keep Moving

I don’t know about you, but I’m continually amazed by how quickly time seems to move.

One week rolls into the next. There are meetings and appointments and groceries and laundry and work and family and all of the things that need our attention. We get through one month and suddenly we’re halfway through the next one.

And unless we make a conscious decision to do something differently, it is very easy for our lives to continue looking pretty much the same.

That isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

There are parts of my life that I’m incredibly grateful for and don’t want to change at all.

But there are also things I’ve been thinking about changing. Things I want to create. Ideas I want to pursue. Ways I want to feel. Parts of myself I want to strengthen.

For me, one of those things is my health. I’ve been saying that I want to put it front and center, and now I’m realizing that wanting it isn’t enough. I have to actually give it my attention and take action.

What If You Made Yourself a Priority for a Little While?

That’s really the question I’ve been sitting with.

What would happen if, for ten weeks, you intentionally gave some of your time and attention to you?

Not every minute.

Not at the expense of your family, your work or everything else that matters to you.

But enough that the thing you keep saying you want doesn’t continually get pushed to someday.

Maybe there’s a goal you’ve been talking about for years.

Maybe you know something in your life needs to change, but you’re not entirely sure what that change looks like yet.

Maybe there’s something you once wanted that you quietly stopped pursuing.

Or maybe your life is actually pretty good, but there is still a part of you that knows there is more you want to experience, create or become.

What might happen if you gave that part of yourself ten weeks of your attention?

Ten Weeks Won’t Change Everything. But It Can Change Something.

I think sometimes we make change much bigger than it needs to be.

We tell ourselves that we need the perfect plan. More time. More clarity. More confidence. A different season of life.

And then we keep waiting.

But you don’t have to completely reinvent your life between now and the end of the year.

You can start.

You can make one decision you’ve been avoiding.

You can begin building a new habit.

You can finally move forward on an idea.

You can get clearer about what you want the next chapter of your life to look like.

You can prove to yourself that the things you say matter to you are worthy of your time and attention.

And I think there is something incredibly powerful about that last one.

Because every time we follow through on something that matters to us, we begin building trust and confidence with ourselves.

We stop being the person who is always going to start someday. We become someone who is already moving forward—and growing into the person we want to be.

This Is Why I Created The Next Decade Accelerator

Over the past year, I’ve spent a lot of time talking with women about what they want next.

And one thing has become very clear to me: most of us do not need another year to pass before we begin creating it.

So beginning October 1, I’m bringing together a small group of women for ten weeks to intentionally focus on what they want to create next and begin moving toward it before the year ends.

We’ll start with Design Your Next Decade™, because I believe it’s difficult to make intentional choices about today if we haven’t stopped to think about where we actually want our lives to go.

And then, over the ten weeks, we’ll keep working together—through masterclasses, group coaching, live office hours, tools and ongoing support—to turn that clarity into action.

There are only 10 spots because I want this to be a small, connected experience where I can really support each woman who joins me.

And yes, ten weeks will go by either way.

That’s the part I keep coming back to.

So perhaps the better question isn’t simply, Where will I be ten weeks from now?

Maybe it’s:

What could happen if I decided these next ten weeks mattered?

If this is crossing your path at just the right time, I would love to have you join me inside The Next Decade Accelerator™.

This small group experience will create a supportive space for you to gain clarity, accountability and momentum as you work toward what you want to create before the end of the year.

You can learn more and reserve your spot here.

Maybe ten weeks from now, you’ll look back and realize that this was the moment you stopped thinking about what you wanted next and started creating it.

Positively,
Deanne
