That may seem counter-intuitive, but it works.  Oftentimes, when our plates are overloaded, we start to multitask.  And multitasking doesn’t work because it’s dispersing our energy over many things instead of using focused effort on one task.  So when things get stressful, stop and re-evaluate your list of things to do.  Rank them in order of importance and then focus in on each one.  Focused effort slows down time.  Give it a try!
